R3 colleagues asked about managing constraint in dispatching (loading bay, haulier etc) and whether APO would do it. We have service people placing dispatch requests on our plants that cannot be serviced and want to set capacity limits (based on volume). My guess is TPVS will manage all of this but we don't want to put in TPVS just for this. Given that everything I've ever worked with in APO has a direct (if normally more basic) functional equivelent in R3 does TPVS have one that we could use in R3 until we move to TPVS in APO?

Yes, there is none... Nothing like multi drop planning or delivery capacity consideration, just basic delivery creation and scheduling. You can use your dispatch date to provide a very small bit of control by limiting the plant calendar for deliveries/dispatches and using some of the capacity leveling startegy settings to force orders and GI to specific dates e.g. if you only deliver to a specific cusomer on a Tuesday, or the last day of the month but its complex and doesn't really work all that well anyway...
