Checking the sales process of R/3 using CRM

Question: Hi All,

Is it possible to check all the sales process mantain in r/3 using the crm but without all the sales capabilities of crm?

For eg: can I check trough the CRM all the sales order, complaints or returns maintained in the SD component without using the IPC, the TE or the APO, i.e, the starting point of the process being r/3 and crm only collects that information without futher processing...

Is there a way to distribute (only in display mode) this information from R/3 to CRM and make the linkage to the customer fact sheet or history?

Hi Etrigo,

I have exactly the same problem, I have done some customizing, but still it is not quite working.
First you have to create your own view in R/3 side sales summaries, lets say view 900. Into the view you assign the blocks you wish to see in CRM. Then in crm in the BP cockpit customizing you create again your own view and select the info blocks. If you doubleclick in maintain info blocks eg. complete view R/3 (class CL_CRM_CCKPT_IO_CORE_SUMMARY) and settings, you can assign your view 900 created in R/3 here. Also check the note 490871, in paragraph 13 there is some info for this one as well.
This is where I am now, the only problem is that I still cannot see the sales from R/3. I am wondering how the data is fetched, you usually need to maintain the rfc connection somewhere?

Yes, you can distribute sales documents created in R3 to CRM and only view them in a display mode in CRM. This can be achieved by maintaining sales scenario entries in middleware for data exchange of sales documents between CRM & R3. Please refer to oss note 541113 for further details on enabling such sales scenarios in CRM. Further check your CRM release as this functionality is available for both CRM 3.0 & 3.1.
