Please let me know if any one did comparison analysis APO vs. Manugistics.
Interestingly this client has not yet implemented R/3 logistics and still using AS400 custom systems. So would like to know the difference in effort to interface AS400 custom system with APO vs. Manugistics.

Though I wouldn't be able talk intelligently about APO - Manugistics comparative advantages, I can vouch for the fact that one of the strongest points APO can tout is it's tight and very good integration with R/3. Take that away and I wouldn't be too bullish on APO.

Hello VA, Thanks for your feedback. I can agree completely with you on this as I have implemented the SNP, TLB PP/DS modules in APO integrating with R/3 via CIF etc. I can see the real time planning so well. I know all the functionality of APO but I don’t know much about Manugetics.
But any way I have to do this comparison to justify the client implementation of APO comparing with Manugestics using Fact based metrics. Looks like the ease with which the interfaces can be built with APO vs. Manu with an old legacy system may a play a role. But need to keep an eye on the future functionally what SAP APO can bring to dominate the SCM world.
