Question:
I have to make a full SAP HR system (4.6) to export data to another SAP HR system (4.0B) which will contains only the data necessary to do Cross Application Timesheets, Expenses and Absence Recording. Some data substitution will be needed in the receiving system (probably via "Z" function/ table lookup) before it can be updated e.g employee number and various codes.
If anyone has done anything similar I would be grateful for any advice:-
How do I configure HR to output an Idoc at a given event such as "hiring"
Which of the standard Idocs (HRMD_A01, HRKK1PERS etc) should I use

Answer:
The genral idoc type is the hrmd idoc and it can be set up to be genrated by change pointers. HRMD_A01 should work for want you want. There is predefined set up for hr master data distribution using the idocs you need. It would help for you to check out info on the "HR mini master" as this will give you details for the requiremetns in the CATS system. This scenario iss not too uncommon except for your reference to data substitution, I am not sure what you mean by that. Feel free to contact me for more detailed info.
