Hi SD consultant,
Try the SAP best practice for Retail, available on the Market Place.
There is also a customizing guide available (based on IDES/PCS) showing you the minimum steps required.
Also the HELP files provide input on this topic. Note that large volume of POS upload will require performance tuning.
For testing POS there is standard available the POS simulation (see Help files) within the menu.
