R/3 HR Master Data Distribution for CRM 3.0 SP13

Question: We have distributed the HR employees via ALE message type HRMD_ABA per note 312090 from HR to CRM and the CRM documentation for "ALE Quickstart for Distributed HR". We are able to view the IDOCs on the CRM side and they all have a status of '53' (application document posted). Our problem is that when we start CUSTOMER_REL (after a successful completion of CUSTOMER_MAIN), we receive an error in the BDOC error segments log (transaction SMW01) displaying "A business partner cannot be determined for personnel number 00??????". Our question is, does anyone know how to create the business partners for these distributed employees? Best Practices suggested setting up an internal number range for employees which has been completed, but nothing we do seems to create a business partner for these employees. We are on CRM 3.0 SP13.

Answer:
Had exactly the same problem. It was solved after 3 weeks of writing back and forth on the OSS with some guy from SAP Waldorf and then implementing about 10 different notes. I do not have access to the OSS user I was using when dealing with this problem but you should be able to find some notes on the OSS.

Answer:
Nice to know that we are not the only ones suffering out there in SAP land. Yes, after about 2 weeks of exchanging messages with SAP, we have solved our problem. Note numbers 312090 and 363187 are nice guidelines, but leave a lot to desired. They basically tell you how to set up the HR distribution to CRM. Also, http://help.sap.com/saphelp_46c/helpdata/en/b9/d05336d0cd0809e10000009b38f839/frameset.htm tells you how to set up the entire HR IDOC distribution via ALE.

Our problem was that the infotype 6 (subtype 1) permanent address data segment was never populated in the R/3 HR employee record(client not using the SAP HR module); therefore not creating an address record (infotype 6, subtype 1) data record in the CRM client. Infotype 6 is a required data segment in CRM for employees in order to create a business partner for the employee. Some additional config had to be performed as well on the CRM side such as going to transaction SA13 and adding values. Otherwise, we were receving a error status of '51' (application document not posted) when viewing the IDOC in the CRM client using transaction BD87.

Answer:
Well , in the user documentation I have "setup,Transport and Copy of SAP EBP systems' which also can be used for CRM, I found two things:

Report: CRM_COM_ORGMAN_BUPA_INTEGRATE in the target system with following parameters:
Adjust all BP 'X'
All Org Units 'X'
Without Dialog 'X'

it is step 8 as described into note 363187.

As a consequent activitiy, I also found you should use the transaction CRM_OM_BP_INTEGRATE .

This worked because we have all organizational units and employees in the CRM 3.1 system as Business Partner!!
