Question:
Im just starting off in the is-u world and would like some info/help about performing a "full device installation". I have: a)created a device info record, b) cereated a generla material, c)created a device category and a device itself.
The device is a meter
Upon attemping a "full installation" for the device in question the is-u system wants a transformer to be entered.
Any ideas what i am doing wrong? DO any of you out there have know of any literature in the are of device management / geräte management which could be of assistance? (English or German)

Answer:
You have created device out of Device category which is either indirect or semi indirect measurement type.
In order to avoid transformer installation, create:
1. Device category with Type of measurement as "Direct"
2. Device with this Device category
Install this device.
