You can use archiving functionality given in BP master data maint.
use transaction BP and set the particular BP data for archiving. Use basis serive to archive the flagged data periodically.

I was wondering if there is a direct deletion transaction. But , as far as I understand, there is not. So, I will use archiving.

There is an OSS note giving instructions on deleting records. Search under "BP" and "Delete" - I can't remember the OSS number.
