Question:
Hi there,
Has anyone of you any experience with the webMethod's replacement of the SAP Business Connector called 'webmethods for SAP' ?
I'm just wondering what the findings are about this product and if it is really a seamless upgrade to the SAP BC ?
Thank you,
Peter.
Answer:
Use SAP XI!

Answer:
Well,
Do you ? I guess not..
To expensive and way to imature.
Please explain your opinion and try to convince me...
Peter.
Answer:
We've been using SAP XI for two years now.
We integrate SAP to Non SAP, non SAP to non SAP and develop our own portals and web applications to integrate into any systems.
We have over 600 applications in our landscape and it does the job nicely..
It makes the interfaces cheap to create and deploy, no java or abap experience needed ( I am an XI Developer and have little Java and very little ABAP knowledge!)
Too expensive?? Compared to Websphere Business Integration Modeler it's an absolute bargain!
SAP recommend XI as the next step up from BC. We use XI for all of our returns to the nice Taxman....

Answer:
BC 4.6/4.7 is an OEM version of WebMethods B2B Integrator. I assume this new tool is just the next release. New featues, better performance, less bugs. However this time you need to pay for the license.
