Question:
We are upgrading from 4.0b to 4.6c, the problem that I’m having is all custom variants that were created for standard SAP programs are not working in 4.6c. The parameters or select-options seem to have changed from release to release. Is there some way to generate these variants or do we have to manually make all the changes?

Answer:
The Short answer is yes you will have to do it manually. Although some can be migrated, the outcome is uncertain due to screen and option changes, hence it is better to re-do.
This is not a huge job and should only need to be done once.
