Question:
Hi,
I'm new to SAP SRM please help on queries related to sap srm scenario's.
1. how do we control the scenarios in srm system, lets says what are the config settings required for classic scenario, similarly to extended classic, decoupled and standalone, what are key config settings by which we can distguish the scenario's.
2. we've created a shopping cart and posted the po in the classic scenario, but next time when we are trying to place another sc,its not picking price from info record which inturn we need to manually input the price, please help me to understand the mechanism of srm pricing.
3.if anyone has documents on ccm5.0 please share with me kvsathyakumar@gmail.com.
4.Is it mandatory to go for SRM certification to get a break,as i'm already done with SAP MM Certification, if so who is the best person in INDIA to learn from?
Thanks,

Answer:
HI Jim ,
can you help me out in this issue.
Thanks,
Sathya kumar.
Answer:
The scenario is controlled by configuring the system to send follow on documents:
1. To the local system (standalone)
2. To a backend R/3 system (classic scenario)
3. To the local system, and then replicated to a backend R/3 system (extended classic scenario)
There are many iterations and variations on the theme. You can have combinations. The configuration includes, but is not limited to
SM59 (to define the system itself)
Define Logical System
Define Backend System for PDOCS
Attributes in the Org Plan
Backend system for Product Category
How will you determine which purchasing documents go to the various backend systems?
You're asking many questions here.

Answer:
Just one to add on to Jim's Comments. If you are looking to implement Extended Classic, you will have issues with SUS which is not supported using the exteneded classic scenario!
Certification is a good idea, but not necessary, if you can shadow someone this is far better. The SAP Courses are very good, but more often than not, they do not teach you everything you need to know. Coming from a MM bacground is good as depending the scenario you go with, there is some config in MM that needs to be established.

Answer:
Dear KEN30,
Refering your comment "SUS not been supported with extended classic scenario".
With Extended classic scenario the leading PO document is created in SRM server which would further be availbale for SUS.
Is there any perticular scenario where SUS does not work along with extended classic scenario?
