I need to create an inbound SD quote via IDOC in 4.6x. I found an older OSS note that said it was possible to do but not supported by standard SAP but gave no details on how it can be done.
Does anyone have any experience with this?

If there is no standard SAP solution there are 2 options:
1) Copy the standard inbound IDoc and make the necessary changes to create an SD quote (changes to the function module)
2) Look for user exits (in the inbound function module) in the existing inbound SD document and see if this gives you the possibility to create an SD quote instead of the SD order.
