Hi All,
I have a std. planning area on a basic cube. Also, a std. planning area on a transactional cube. The req. is to create a planning folder where we can execute a planning function by entering the From Version, To Version and From Planning Area, To Planning Area variable values.
I have created Multi Planning Area with the two standard planning areas. I have created variables on the Multi Planning Area for the version anf the Planning Area characteristics.
I have created a standard planning function with version and palnning area as the fields to be changed, and created the parameter group where
'From' values are given 'From' variables and 'To' values are given 'To' Variables.
This is not working. When the planning folder is executed the variable screen comes up and takes the values that I input. But, it is taking from values only and the copy gets failed.
Is it possible to use a standard copy function to work with variables?

Did you create separate variables for from and to versions? You should have 2 separate variables; 1 FROM version, 1 TO version; In the copy function itself, you can specify fixed values for the FROM and TO planning areas since these should be known.
