Mobile Sales Setup and Config

Question: Hi there,

I have just installed the Mobile Sales Environment for CRM 4.0. This includes the Communication Station and the mobile client. (I already have the CRM Server 4.0 installed).

What I would like to know is the following:

- How do i go about logging onto the Mobile client - where do I create the users?
- Do I need to perform some config steps before starting the mobile client? If so where can I find the mobile sales config documentation?
- Am I correct in saying I need to create sites and subscriptions in the Admin Console? If so again you know where i can find documentation?
- Also i tried starting ConnTrans but I get an error with the initialization

Any help and advice on setting up and configuring the Mobile sales 4.0 environment would be much appreciated.

Hello
Following steps need to be executed to be able to logon to MSA:
a) CRM Server (Online), TC SMOEAC
- Create a site (Mobile client will be linked to this one later on)
- Create necessary subscriptions and assign them to site (make sure you have assigned all subscriptions for customizing as well)
- Create User with logon details and assign to site
b) Start Mobile Client Console on client
- Link your client to the site created on CRM online
- Check adapter connection to verify whether IP address is linked correctly to your Comm-Station
- Exit client console
c) Start Authorization Management Tool in order to assign
d) Start Conntrans for initial download
e) Start Mobile Sales: You should have received your logon details
