Hi there I am trying to create a variale in sem planning structures can't create variable. Can anybody help me how to or is there something missing in sem installation or I am not sure why.

Answer:
You can create variables in SEM in the planning area.
Choose the option .. change planning area, then in the window on your right side, you will see a tab for creating and maintaining variables.

I right clicked on planning area and went to the variables tab but the variables tab window is blank and theres no button to create variable. Can you tell me how to create variable.

If you are using IDES SEM 3.x version, variables tab page will appear blank. There is not much you can do in this case.

This problem is the result of a basis change. If you install SAP GUI 6.20 and if the SEM-BPS version has an older version than release 3.1B with support package 1 -- you will have this problem.
