Question:
Dear Fans,
Can anyone give an hint why this happens:
I am doing sales planning, using variable values to build the worklist. There is the correponding planning folder and layout, of course.
In the folder I have 4 combinations in the worklist.
When i input some values in one item in the worklist the system incorrectly showns the same values in another item of the Worklist! Surprised?
Then, I checked the values using Bex and directly in the cube and then the values were not matching with Sales Planning folders!!!
Does anyone have a hint on this one? How can this happen?
You are very welcome to give me any sugestions...And this is quite urgent!
Bye

Answer:
In our project we had similar problems related to an Oracle bug. There is an OSS note about that.
Answer:
Guille, Thank you.
I found 534697 on OSS. I hope this will solve the problem.
On your project, had you found any more problems of this kind?
And was there any impact on performance?
Why these problems happen, anyway? This may have a terrible impact on users trust in the system...
Thanks and kind regards,

Answer:
We had another funny problem with data inconsistency that arose after a change in the structure of one of the cubes in our dev system. We think it was because the SEM BPS request in the cube was not closed prior to this change, but we never really knew for sure because we were not able to reproduce the problem afterwards.
Anyway, a problem like this should have no impact in a productive system.
I cannot think of any other problem of this kind.
Regarding the Oracle bug, we didn't notice any performance issues before or after solving it.
Best regards.
Answer:
Dear Sap Fans,
The hint from Guille was really helpful...
We found the OSS notes to apply.
But I have to say that, in my opinion, this is not just an Oracle bug...
In fact, we installed the Oracle patch recomended for our system (Compaq TRU64, Oracle 8.1.7.4.0) but the problems happened again!
Then, another note sugested that we should change some code in program
include LRSDRCF25. This programa makes the accesses to the cube.
So we concluded that SAP is trying to speed the accesses to the cubes, and sometimes it does not work so well.
I hope they work on this because sales planning is critical...it gives production a plan to work on!!
For Sapfans working on similar environment please check notes 537448 and 534718 (workaround...).
Bye,
