Hi,
I created an Utility installation on 21/07/2004 and completed the full installation of the device on 27/07/2004. After full installation Time slice in installation was split up with the periods '21/07/2004 to 26/07/2004' and '27/07/2004 to 31/12/2004'.
While billing simulation I am getting the error 'No rate was for the period from 21/07/2004' to '26/07/2004'. But, I am unable to attach Rate Type for this period as there is no device installed during this interval.
Can anyone shed some light on this........

Hi,
My guess is that you have created the move-in on 21/07/2004 and that the rate determination of the rate category that you are using doesn't contain any flat rates. Since you have no rate type at the register you will be unable to simulate the period (no rate for that period).
To test if this is the case create a simple flat rate using for example variant LUMSUM01, insert the rate in your schema, do a rate determination with your rate category and assign the rate type in the rate category or installation facts. This should solve your problem.
An other option is of course to reverse the device installation and redo it on 21/07/2004.
