Our system is set up to receive inbound EDI850( Orders) IDocs from EDI sub system. Recenetly some patches were applied and from there onwards when IDocs were sent from EDI sub system, we are not able to see in SAP ( WE02 Transaction). Could you please tell us what exactly went wrong??

Are you sure the problem is the consequence of the application of Patches ? I don't think so.
If no IDOC is created, then the problem is a communication problem.
Did you verify the connection between the two system ? did the user used to connect to SAP server has the password changed or is locked ???
