Question:
Hi,
Can someone please tell me if SAP R/3 Release 4.6C is compatible with Solaris 9 or not?
Currently my company is running SAP R/3 Release 4.6C and Kernel release 46D with Oracle 8.1.7.4 on Sun Servers with Solaris 7 installed.
We are planning to upgrade to newer Sun Servers, but according to Sun Supports, the new Servers will only run on Solaris 8 or higher. It will not run on Solaris 7.
I have access to SapNET and OSS note but I was not able to find any information on this.
I would appreciated if someone could guide me as to where I can find information on SAP R/3 Release 4.6C installed on Solaris 9.
Thank you in advance for the help,
JZ
Answer:

Answer:
Hi Snowy,
Do you know of any OSS Notes number or SAP documentation where it stated R/3 Release 4.6C is compatible with Solaris 9?
I am sure my manager will want documented proof from SAP Note or web link from SAP site stating that is is compatible before they shell out thousand of dollars to purchase the new Sun servers.
Thank you again for your help,
JZ
Answer:
OSS note 156548
