Create condition records in CRM - condition type PR00

Question: Hi! I have set up CRM based on the Best Practice installation. By default, I am using the pricing procedure that is defined in R/3.

I am able to create a condition record in R/3 for the material or material/customer combination, replicate the records to CRM and create a sales order in CRM that will recognise the pricing maintained.

However, our client would like to carry out the maintenance of the pricing records in CRM. I tried to maintain the pricing data in the Product master transaction or BP transaction in CRM. However, I only get condition type 0PR0 and other condition types that originated from CRM. It seems that I was not able to create condition records using PR00 which comes from R/3. I have assigned PR00 to condition maintenance group PRODUCTCRM (condition table SAP304) and noticed that the Data Source System is reflected as CRM and not R/3. I am not sure whether that would make any difference to the test results.

Can someone please advise whether there is a way to create condition records using the condition type from R/3? Or do I have to use 0PR0 (pricing procedure 0CRM01/0CRM02) instead?

Appreciate any advice on the above.

Cheers!

Answer:
for each condition type that you want to maintain in CRM, you will need to maintain a setting in R/3 under Data Exchange Conditions.

It is not possible for obvious reasons to have a condition type that is maintained in both systems.

SPRO > Integration with other Conditions>Data Exchange Conditions

After doing so, you willneed to update CRM via middleware,, try DNL_CUST_CNDALL

Hi Bgamble,

Thanks for the information. I can now maintain condition records in CRM using condition type PR00. I have 2 questions here:

1. Do we still use transaction /SAPCND/GCM to maintain condition records (other than from BP or COMMPR01)? I ran this transaction and it did not work at the moment. It should show the Application but no Condition Maintenance Group.

2. After I have maintained the condition records for PR00 in CRM, is there a way for me to get this through to R/3 so that if someone creates a SO in R/3 they can still make use of the pricing created in CRM?

Appreciate your help on the above!

Cheers!

Answer:
If you have configured your condition maintenance groups correctly, you should be able to maintain these records using the GCM transaction

With regards to distributing condition records from CRM to R/3, it is funny but I have never had the requirement. I would assume that you can create an adapter object that with target system being R/3 and source beign CRM and it should be ok. But I have never had the requirement

Probably the first thing I would have done is to try to convince the client that they should maintain there records in R/3. In my opinion the transactions and tools are much more stable in R/3

Thanks. I may have to try that out (create new adapter object). At least, I have to know whether it is possible for not.

Answer:
Hi! Just to let you that the pricing record cannot be replicated from CRM to R/3. It only works for Trade Promotion Management.

But if someone knows of a custom way to do that, I will be keen to hear about it!

Thanks!
