scenario cases

Question: hi all

As a novice to sap crm, i have few doubts.
I have a situation here.
A company has implemented sap r/3 for its core modules.
It has three system land scape namely development, test and production.
Take the case now the company wants to go for sap crm implementation too.
1)what are the best possible ways to implement crm for this particular company?I mean even for the CRM implementation does it need to follow the three system land scape like three crm servers?

2)how the data load (initial and delta) takes place?
I mean from which OLTP server to which CRM SERVER......Like is it from production OLTP to CRM development or any others.

Your reply asap is highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Answer:
Yes you should have the same system landscape in CRM as you have for R/3.

Answer:
Your system landscape for SAP CRM should indeed follow the same logic as in most SAP systems, like SAP R/3 and BW for example:

Most companies do use Development- Quality - Production system

It is NOT necessary to have 3 separate servers however. You could choose to have development and QA on a same server.

Downloads (customizing and initial/delta downloads from R/3 to CRM) are also not fixed (most often the logic is as following:

R/3 DEV --> CRM DEV
R/3 QA --> CRM QA
R/3 Prod --> CRM Prod

But you could also make other combinations.

About the Org model:

you CAN create this in 3 ways:
1) Use HR org model by distributing it to CRM via ALE
2) Copy R/3 Sales Structure : is done by running report in CRM customizing

3) Manually maintain/create an org model in CRM
