Question:
Documentation on CRM Workflow states that for TS10008151 (Automatic Generation of Oppurtunity to Lead); DATA FLOW SHOULD BE MODIFIED if I am using a customized transaction type ZPPT (instead of OPPT).
Any idea how to go about this step? Any vague suggestion on how to modify data flow would be greatly appreciated!

while creating lead to opportunity we use customized transaction for example Zead and Zppt. and in sap workflow we have to assign agents so
that opportunity can be created under name of that agent's workflow.
U can see under transaction sbwp whether opportunity is created under that agent(which is in most cases assigned as a user) sap workflow.

I have made the agent assignment in the workflow already. In our case ZEAD does to flow to ZPPT, instead it issues a message that transaction type OPPT is locked (we made the standard setting OPPT inactive since we are using ZPPT). I have already configured the copying rules; How do i make ZEAD flow to ZPPT instead of OPPT?

You can use copy control or use actions to trigger the workflow based on the user status. Check of copy control in help.sap.com.

Is there any way to accomplish this task without using workflow? We currrently do not have workflow turn on and would like to automatically create an Opportunity from the status of a Lead. Can CRM_EVENT handled this type of scenario? or is this a configuration issue?

You should be able to handle this with the Action profile assigned to the lead transaction, conditional on status
