How have others handled article numbers for Special Orders
IE: same item, different sizes or different colors
without having to create multiple article numbers in the Article Master?
Answer:
This is handled by using 'Generic and Variants" article category and this is a standard IS-Retail feature.

thanks for the direction.
i just started a new job where they are implimenting SAP Retail and I only have a implimentation experience with for MM/WM/SD/FI for manufacturing (my first experience) and logistics distribution (who i just left) and all of this company's quirks are going to be a challenge on it's own, much less having to learn SAP Retail.
i got a lot of reading to do....
