Process Code is connected with message type, there are different process codes for Outbound and Inbound.
If IDocs are comming to the system the Partner profile is identified and also Message type, in Message type is written Process Code which identified Function Module, which is creating the Record in SAP.
Simillar way is for Ounbound processing.
