Question:
I am finding BC developer painfully slow when working with flow services of any size - copying, saving locking etc. Is this because of memory management ? The machine has 256 meg but in Admin the Server Statisitics show that only 130 meg is being used.
Any advice would be much appreciated, because if I can't improve it soon The machine will be thrown out of the window and me after it

look at your bin directory of integrator, then open runintegrator.bat file for modification.
there should be a statement like: -mx130M. This defines the max amount of ram that our integrator is allowed to use. Try to increase this to eg.
-mx200M

I think that you shouldn't run SAP BC Server and SAP BC Developer one the same machine !!!
If you want to do it, you should have at least 512k of RAM.
