Question:
SAP recommends not to use planning version 000 in DP for efficiency reasons (note:429400) especially if one is using further SAP APO applications like PP/DS, CTM or SNP together with DP. The reason given is that version 000 will contain orders.
Can anyone please elaborate on that.

Hi,
the probable reason why SAP recommends this might be that PP/DS and SNP is storing orders on database while DP is using LiveCache. I could think they recommend to separate this two different ways of storing in two different planning versions.

planning in APO is fast because it does not access tables during planning run, all the relevant data is stored in live cache.
