need for taking master data from R/3 to CRM

Question: Hi,

As far as I know mySAP CRM is very closely integrated with R/3 and this is the biggest advantage of this CRM .Then
1. why we take master data from mySAP- CRM to R/3 .
2.Why we can not take data directly from R/3 wheneever it is requied for mySAP-CRM.
3.Why there is a need to develop master table when thare are already exists master table in R/3 Example-> if there is a master table VBRK for sales in R/3 then why we need the master table ofr sales in CRM also.

Looking for the response soon.

Answer:
I guess there are several ways to think about it

1. Master data resides in CRM in order to enable relatively quick processing. I cant imagine how CRM would perform if each time master data was required, CRM made a call to R/3 to retrieve it

2. This is how the system is designed, If what you want is some order entry front end that uses data from R/3 without distributing master data, then CRM is probably not a good fit

3. CRM is meant to be capable of stand alone operation. In other words, R/3 is not required to implement CRM

Answer:
I feel that CRM is logical extension for SD and there are new features which are not supported by R/3 like Internal sales(not R/3 edition), Marketing, Analytics, Campaigns, Field sales, webshop, product Catalog, flexible pricing, and product (for upselling, downselling, cross, Topn) etc.

Also as previosly mentioned posting mentioned performance reasons,
and normally after sales order is created at CRM at later stages if its error free only then items of order are transfer to R/3 through structured document BDOCs.
