Has anyone experience with downloading/replication of the HR org.model into CRM? Are there any things we need to take into account?

There is a document called "ALE QuickStart for Distributed
HR". It's a good document, and is attached to an OSS note I believe. Also check SAP Help and search for "Master Data distribution".

My advice is to read everything verycarefully. I had lots of trouble with HR replication...
