I have reviewed many of the posts in this forum related to this subject, and I have tried to correct my problem to no avail.
My issue is:
I have successfully downloaded the sales orgs from R/3. I have created an org model using ppoma_crm and the BPs representing my organizational units have been generated. I have ticked the attribute box that flags the unit useable for determination. Everythings seems fine...
I go into a BP, in the role of sold-to, to assign a sales org...and no choices are available. There must be a customizing step I am missing. I have search OSS and can't find anything relevant.
I am using R/3 4.7 and CRM 4.0.

I am not going to be very helpful but i have encoutered the same pb and it have solved by itself after 2,3 days !!!
In the same way, a sales org. is still present for a time (with an error message) in the BP transaction after its deletion in the organization transaction.
I guess that there is a synchronization done between the existing sales organisations and the ones availables in the Business partner transaction
