Question: My company is investigating using .Net connector which uses MSFT technology.while investigating this product,I have come across Biztalk .Can someone share your experience of using these products. Also I want to know whether 4.7 EP can support these products.
I have seen few discussion alongiwith this line and couldn't find clear solution.
Your input is highly appreciated !!!!

Answer:
Biztalk and the .Net connector are really different animals and it depends on what you are trying to do on which is the better solution. Give us your objectives and I'm sure people can give you their take on what is the better solution.

Answer:
Can you point out those differences?
We are looking for few type of data transfers. HR master data transfer as inbound into SAP from sharepoint portal/service and Sales transactions data as outbound from SAP into a SQL database in realtime.
Thanks

Answer:
One more additional info regarding our plan.We will be using BAPI (Std and custom),RFC and IDOC.

Answer:
Biztalk is a more scalable approach, you have to purchase an additional adaptor to connect to SAP but it is more of a middleware approach, you will be able to set up monitoring etc. In my shop we use both, the .net connector is used for real-time interfaces to some of our custom systems. And we use Biztalk for EDI and IDOC transactions.

Hi Deacon,
Thanks for your info . Do you have any license issue with using Biztalk .I have a situation where multiple users will be accessing to read SAP data using BAPI . Since they are not SAP users, can we use single SAP user id to access SAP.

Answer:
We have a user set up for that type of transaction that is not a dialog user and we have no license issues. I know of plenty of shops with generic EDI/Interface id's and I haven't heard of any problems.

Answer:
Thanks Deacon again.Hope this helps me to start with.
