Hi IDoc guru,
I am testing inbound process through WE19. I pick existing IDoc then click 'standard inbound'. But when I check the newly created IDoc, the status record shows '56' = IDoc with erros added. Diagnosis says : 'An error was identified in the control record while adding an inbound IDoc .
The receiver port has an invalid value: SAPID3'.
I do not know what the first step I have to verify to fix that error.
Where is exactly the error?

Answer:
It means that the system your idoc was created in a different system, and the sap system you are trying to rerun it in is a copy of that system.
EG. an idoc was created in SAPID3 and processed. Then a week later, the SAP instance SAPID3 was copied into SAPID2. You are now attempting to run the idoc in SAPID2, but the idoc still thinks it is in SAPID3.
Solution: Change the control record of the idoc in WE19 so the receiver port is your current system instead of SAPID3
