I have little SD functional knowledge so please bear with me...
I wish to create an inbound interface that updates SAP's A/R customer master via IDocs. Basically, I want to replicate the functionality in transactions FD01 and FD02. The message type DEBMAS looks like a good candidate however I am getting the following error when trying to create an IDoc using the Test Tool:
Message no. FB121
Trans. 1 XD01: Sales org.not entered; sales area is not being processed
I don't want to create any sales data segments so I'm not sure why the Sales Org would be required.
Any help would be appreciated!

Answer:
Did you remove the E1KNVVM with all it's subsegments or just left it emtpy for testing? You have to delete it or SAP tries to create a sales view with an empty sales area.
For tesing you'd better create an idoc using tcode BD12 and then modify (i.e. BD87 or WE05) or use it as a template (tcode WE19).
You also have to ensure that sender's and receiver's customizing regarding org structure and check tables is in sync.
