Question:
Hi,
Looking for some info please. Can anyone assist me by letting me in broad terms what the difference is between Standard SAP and lets say the SAP IS-A&D solution. In our Standard version we have PM, PS, MM, QM and small bits of other modules switched on if we had IS-A&D what would be the main difference.
All help greatly appreciated.
Dave
Answer:
The primary difference with IS solutions is that they have some pre-configured points and portions of the standard SAP already connected for use with that specific industry.
The best way to get an overview of the differences and what each IS (Industry Solution) provides, is to go to help.sap.com, click on the Industry Solutions and go through the one for your specific industry. The helps are very comprehensive and have substantial overviews of the components, functionality and how to use them.
