Question:
I have no experience with APO, and have a very limitted understanding of its functionality, however I have read that APO can assist with maintenance requirements planning via the Service and Maintenance Planning Board (I thinks that the correct term).
I understand that this requires the MEB (Maintenance Event Builder) to be installed in R3, this transaction is part of the A&D Industry Solution.
So, my question is:
Can you use APO to help with Maintenance Planning using standard 4.7 PM?
If so, can you please provide me with links to reference material that provides an over view of the processes involved. I have read up on APO at the SAP help portal and most of it is over my head as I am not from a production Planning background.

Thanks guest, I have already checked out the SAP help and solutions sites, and have collected some very usefull documentation such as the PP & DS Functions In Detail paper, however all that I have found with regards to PM was the reference to the MEB in the help documentation, and this was very much foccused on aircraft maintenance.
Next step, approach SAP for further information, I will post any findings for your future reference.

Updated: I have found a BAdi that apparently enables this integration, APo is not available for testing yet so i will let know know when i have checked it out.
BAdI: Integrate Maintenance Orders
You can use this Business Add-In (BAdI) to transfer SAP R/3 maintenance orders to SAP APO.
This BAdI provides the following functions:
Change of maintenance order header data, after it has been selected from the database
Change to maintenance order data before it is converted to SAP APO format
Change of maintenance order after it has been converted to SAP APO format
Standard settings
The BAdI is not active in the standard.
Activities
Apart from implementation, the BAdI does not require any particular activities.
