I have a query w.r.t. the way quota arrangement functionality is excercised in SAP APO.
A distribution center DC is getting supplies from 2 plants PLT1 and PLT2 with the inbound Quota arrangement of 75% and 25% same respectively. 75% from PLT 1 and 25% from PLT2.
When I raise a demand of X pcs on DC & take the Location Heuristics run. The demand gets split into 0.75Xand 0.25X only beyond a certain date. Before that date, the demand gets catered only from one plant.
My settings for Location Product Master are exactly same for both the plants. Only the Transportation duration for Transportation lane between PLT1 and DC has 2 hours more than Transportation lane between PLT2 and DC. The transportation cost /unit is same for both the transportation lanes.
There’s no capacity load on both the plants.
Which factor / field influences the splitting as per quota arrangements beyond a certain time period. Am I missing any critical input to understand this problem?

Please check out your "quota base" value. If it is updated then there are chances of un-even loading on plants/resources.
