Question:
At our site we are currently running SAP BW. We have guys from a Company called Corvu who are talking to senior management in our company.
So far they have shown to the senior management what took weeks and months to do in SAP BW these chaps have done in days and hours. In fact they do everything SAP SEM - BPS and CPM does and they claim they are 1/5th the cost of BW/SEM in licensing.
We are getting quite nervous as anybody else compared Corvu to SAP BW/SEM.
Apparently these chaps took our business people to some very good reference sites where end users where praising Corvu scorecards and planning applications. Apparently, they seem to have some very high profile customers like US Army.
Can somebody share experiences if any in evaluating Corvu to SAP BW/SEM.
I am wondering is it the beginning of the end for SAP BW/SEM. Please note the matter is quite serious our senior management does not want to even believe what the SAP team says anymore after having evaluated this product Corvu.

From my point of view, what SAP provide is business solution. If you simply check the technology of a component, perhaps all software could do it, but if you consider the whole business process of your enterprise, few software could do it.
For exmaple, could the software you mentioned could retract the plan data to ERP system, like R/3? Could it integrate with the HR orgnization structure?
