FIRST Step:
APO has no relation with MM module.

Not entirely true AP) does use materials and PIRS and storage locations etc. Best advice have a look at the documentation but APO is a very pervasive beast if it can be done in R3 and doesn't involve accountants APO probably has the same or (vastly) better functionality.
Oh, and I'd like an aeroplane too...
